Is VESTA on the App Store yet?
Not yet. VESTA is in beta through Apple TestFlight while we finish testing with real households. She'll arrive on the App Store in Australia and New Zealand once she's passed Apple's review. Join the beta list and you'll hear first.
Does she listen all the time?
No. VESTA only listens when you open her or use your iPhone's voice shortcut. To say “Hey VESTA” hands-free, you switch on an iPhone accessibility setting called Vocal Shortcuts — it takes about a minute, and we show you how. Your iPhone does the listening for the phrase; VESTA isn't recording in the background.
What can she actually do?
Reminders, the shared shopping list, things that need passing to someone else in the house, and following up so nothing quietly drops. She remembers what you've told her, so the conversation carries on from where you left it. We're adding more as the beta teaches us what matters.
Who else in my house can use her?
Anyone you invite. Each person gets their own role, which sets what they can see and change. Kids can have a simpler role than grown-ups. VESTA asks before changing anything that belongs to someone else.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Before your 60 days are up, VESTA asks whether you'd like to keep going at $29 AUD a month. If you say yes, your subscription starts. If you don't, you aren't charged. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, so you can cancel any time in Settings.
Is my household's information private?
Yes. We don't sell it and we don't use it for advertising. To understand and answer you, VESTA uses a small number of carefully chosen service providers for speech and language processing. Our Privacy Policy names them and explains exactly what goes where.
Android?
iPhone first. Android is on the list, but not yet.
